It's free floating - that rope must go up really far, because the tree has no branches.

So the thought that maybe the tree has branches that are out of frame from which the tire could be suspended hasn't entered your mind?

If you know that kind of tree, the branches are usually very high off the ground. A tire swing is usually tied to a branch less than 10 feet off the ground. I agree, that one isn't the best.
