Yeah same in Japanese. Also "during" but it has to come after the other thing, for example 食事中 means "mid-meal."

On the bright side you could turn it into a compound and make 中国 which is "China." Or if you want to go the Mort Divine route, you could make it 中学 which is "junior high school."

I was waiting for this comment to come :lol: and well yes you are right, but the literal Chinese meaning doesn't bear any personal meanings as opposed to it's symbolic meaning in Mah Jong...also your reasoning behind placement is asinine, as it would claim that someone getting a tattoo saying "Left Hand Path" could only acceptably place it on his left hand..
