The Poison Well

Why the hell is it a B-Side.

Apparently the band-members thought it doesn't fit the overall feel of the album. The same applies to other "unreleased" songs as well.

The Poison Well is a good song, but certainly not as great as Static, which was recorded at the same time and also left out of the album.

Speaking of "B-sides", I just listened to A Closer End, the Japanese bonus-track from Fiction and suddenly recalled that there was supposed to be another bonus-track on the Australian release. I looked for a website that would sell it and the only one I found that listed Winter Triangle was this: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/music/id/1022614

Does anyone have any experience ordering from this webstore?

@Villain: Can't help with ordering, but i have Winter Triangle... *cough cough*

@ vilain : I bought my australian fiction cd here. No problem with this website

Thanks for the info, I'll get it from there then!

Siren: I know you what you're saying, but I'd rather listen to it on the CD. This is not the first time I'm buying another version of a DT album just for one song.

I have it from the cd too. Thankfully i had a friend down there at the time, so i didn't have to bother with ordering and stuff. I'm glad i have it, but to be honest this particular track was a bit of a disappointment.. Let us know your opinion when you listen to it. :)

I decided not to see it as a whole instrumental song because for that it is not quite good enough (it is good actually but doesn't live up to DT's usual standard) but rather as an outro so I can see it as a good outro and not as a mediocre instrumental song.

Agreed. As an outro it works quite well.

The poison well and static are both some of DTs best songs, and for me personally, exposure is amazing. it's def one of their heaviest, most brutal songs they have. i wish they would play these b-sides live. i spoke with mikael and martin b about it and they said that they like the songs but no one else knows them. i said i def think DT fans know those songs, and even if they didnt, they could promote them on myspace and facebook and stuff like that. they didnt seem too interested though. what i really want to see DT do is what amon amarth did and will be doing. amon amarth played 2 of their albums all the way through each night until they had played every album. now theyre touring on their own and playing the entire upcoming album and then an entire set of old songs. i would love to see dark tranquillity play for like 3 hours (or 13 lol) and not have any opening bands or anything. thatd be my dream come true. that and the duskfall getting back together lol

Dude, Winter Triangle is just an instrumental outro with the same riff repeating over and over, don't buy the album just for that song.
