the presonus central station exists purely because

I hate the Big Knob. Hate it. It's incredibly unreliable.

The Monitor Station seems a little better but I have less experience with it than the Big Knob.

The Central Station is great, and unbeatable for the feature/price ratio.

Yeah the central station is def the best you can get at that price point before you start getting into really expensive boutique monitor controllers. Sorry you had a problem with your big knob. We are lucky that ours has been solid since we have had it.

I've got the SM Pro M-Patch 2. I LOVE it. All I needed was a volume knob, an aux input, and down the road a speaker select. It's been PERFECT. It's passive. Don't even need to plugin it in unless you want to use the headphone amp. If you need talback and stuff, look at the other two, but if you just need a volume knob with a couple other features, the SM is HALF the price.

i think that the "right side is heard before the left" problem in the level pilot can be minimized to zero by using high quallity cables, with identical ressistion along the cable (mesure it). i've noticed that if i swich the cables of the monitors, i actually hear the left one before the right one. it must be the cables arent 100% calibrated

^^^ I notice a little of that "stereo drift" in just about everything. My SM does it at extremely low volumes. Hell the API console at the studio I work at does it...
