Did you use pair of Samson C02 for overheads? Sounds pretty good

Thanks! Whole kit is Samson 7kit bar the highest tom which is a 57.

I did these drums about a year ago, no editing but there is post processing and verb on snare and toms. Shit ton of hi hat in the snare, some extremely audible gating going on on the snare track!

Great slap from the room mic, just gotta be careful not to put too much in haha.

Nah I find the artificial flavorings makes for some overly aggressive top end taste colouring.

I think you have to understand the concept of drum-tuning better.. they seem a bit messed up for the moment

it has to sound like a KIT in the room to begin with, how are the tuning interval of the toms in relationship with the snare?

tuning-wise, your kick seem rather good, but the mic/processing emphasizes the highs/mids way too much.

Snare is too high tuned

Toms have a strange interval

Tuning tho has a very personal touch too it.. your good might be my bad and so forth

Also, it feels like there is a big hole in the lowmid/upper bass register, like between 200-1000 kilo is not much info.

Try to get a balanced sound and don't apply too much procession(you shouldn't have too if everything is set-up right)

There are zero ITB processing, the only stuff that goes on is two dbx 160 on kick mics and RNC on overheads, but very subtle. Kick is low, I was kinda in hurry when bouncing, made it too quiet in mix. What you guys think?
