what happened at the holland game? i only saw the first half. france seemed to dominate, not giving up an inch.
~gR~
france didn't dominate shit, they controlled like 10/15 minutes of the first half and started well in the second but they couldn't finish
i tipped france to win the tournament at the start so i guess i reluctantly have to back them against italy. italy have obviously been performing better but holy shit they can't shoot to save their lives, luca toni looks totally lost out there. grosso's service was immense today and he still couldn't put anything away.
holland are the only team in the tournament who look the complete outfit. obviously going forward they're superb, their forward line is the best in the world methinks, but they're also the only team who look fairly solid defensively, i have no idea whats happened to boulahrouz but i never saw him look this good for chelsea. van der sar is the man of course.
portugal can't deal with anything in the air and they still don't have a good striker, that'll be their downfall. spain look dodgy as hell at the back AND they're chokers so i'm still not expecting them to win it. germany have hardly set the world alight but i'm still expecting them to be there or thereabouts. obviously france and italy are struggling but those two always start slow, if either of them qualifies i reckon they'll be a huge threat. outside bet for croatia?
