I decided to buy it and it was good, and I like how there was some witty humour in it as well as being good in other ways. I particularly like the flogging/marching scene with the traditional dies irae.....mostly because dies irae = good.

And considering it's from '57...very good.

Now if only that trilogy box wasn't so damned expensive...

By the way, does anyone know who composed the song they play at the beginning (of TSS)? I know it's another dies irae, but whose?

If any of you are fans of Bergman's work then you have to get your hands on the new 5 disc set of Fanny and Alexander. Most, including me, consider it his greatest masterpiece.

Its actually my favorite movie--the Seventh Seal that is. Seriously, the whole concept I think was quite brilliant. I also love Wild Strawberries. Anyone who likes that movie should watch The Barbarian Invasions, sort of a more realistic modern update.
