I've appreciated Tom Lord since the Steve Winwood days...not even knowing back then who he was,but i really dug Steve Winwood's music.
In my opinion it's not a fair comparisson to say listen to the original "Waffle" mix done by Wallace in 1999 which was the bands second studio album and god knows what budget they had, to the TLA mix done in 2005 by the bands previous record label TVT in order to cash in.
One would hope that 6yrs later there would be an improvement on the original.

I didn't realize the remix was done so long after. That's fair enough then!
Anybody know what amp was used on the rhythms for it? It's one of the best guitar tones I've ever heard.

also shout out for steve winwood as stated earlier. "higher love" is one of my fav jams. a real missile of a record.
he also has a mixing credit for limp bizkit "three dollar bill" i wonder which song because i always thought andy wallace mixed that whole album. i guess tla really gets in there and scoops up radio mixes from andy haha.
but yeah seriously, tla basically mixed every big alt rock song i grew up listening to. it's crazy.
