The UM HUB?

Which window do you mean? The forum one? I am already signed in there. This is what the DC++ thing says when I try connecting...

<Hub-Security> This hub is running version 0.7.14 of Open DC Hub.
Private message from Hub: Sorry, only registered users are allowed on this hub. Go to http://paladin.sublevels.net/board/ to register.
*** Disconnected
Have you filled in your name under Settings? Do what my above post says and then see if you're still having trouble with it.

lol Uploading 500mb of my cd collection god this is forever hahaha

500mb is small compared to most hubs where it is usually at least 10 or 15 gb. :)

1. Download dc++ at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/

2. Register at http://paladin.sublevels.net/board/

3. Add paladin.sublevels.net to your favourites and fill in relevant information

4. Connect to the hub and read the rules...

1. Done

2. Done

3. Done, although I don't know if I've filled in all the necessary information. It asks for name (I wrote 'UM Hub @ paladins'), address (I filled in the IP address for the forums) and descrition (I left blank).

Similarly, it asks for Nick (I filled in my account name on the forum, although it didn't allow me to do spaces) password (filled in my forum password) and description (left blank).

Clicked ok, and the UM Hub was added, then when I tried to connect to it, it said I had connected for a split second, and then:

<Hub-Security> This hub is running version 0.7.14 of Open DC Hub.
Private message from Hub: Sorry, only registered users are allowed on this hub. Go to http://paladin.sublevels.net/board/ to register.
*** Disconnected

SO...

4. I can't connect to the hub!

By the way, like I said I presume I've registered to the forum. I currently have the index page for paladin.sublevels.net/board/ in another window, and I am clearly logged in.

I don't understand what people mean by I have to connect to the individual forums! Where?

^ maybe I'm being stupid but I don't see any IPs on that page

And what's all this about uploading loads of stuff? Do they demand that you submit loads of files or something?

I think this may be the problem. Try registering a name without spaces, and try with that.

...it is at the very top

paladin.sublevels.net:411

the other is:
wintermute.sublevels.net:411

THis thing is INCREDIBLE...IT was worth uploading a quarter of my cd collection through media player LOL! I shouldve just uploaded them in higher quallity it would've saved a good hour

Sadude, be sure to check out those other hubs that GoD mentioned, but you might have to have more than 500mb shared.
