The Unofficially Official "Bands Never discussed on RC" Thread

Haha, I'm just too much of a sarcastic bastard for my own good, its not your fault. I could have easily just not even replied to this thread, but I had to take the extra time and be a dick.

Hammers of Misfortune
Empyrium
The Lord Weird Slough Feg
Agalloch

OK ok, but seriously, we should discuss these bands more often:

Iron Maiden

No wait, ok I'm serious this time:

Rudra

Based out in Singapore, they have an uphill struggle getting any notoriety. Plus they play "Vedic Metal" - combining mid-paced death metal with pagan Indian folk music - so it's not exactly accessible (which is a good thing I guess). They have three albums out (first one was on Candlelight) but the other two are self-financed.

They deserve some support. I would love to do a feature on them, but perhaps we need a roundtable or something with some sample MP3s. Definitely worthy of discussion, just because they have something different going for them, particularly in ideaology.

Pan Thy Monium

I mean, c'mon, who doesn't like fucked up death metal? Only colon commandos.

Slow Horse, The Black League, Cathedral, Fleurety, Obtest

PTM is more of an Edge of Sanity side band than a Swano band. Swano only plays guitars I believe, and the vocalist is the same guy who did vocals on EoS's on non-Swano album, Cryptic.

Project Hate ain't bad. But I just got tired of them. All the songs and lyrics are too samey.

Have the debut, but haven't listened to it a lot, doesn't sound as full and well constructed. Their latest is just incredible though. Lots of great, catchy riffs, with an almost eastern feel at times, demonic vocals, well put together songs and their new female vocalist is the best there is.

edit: [talking about Project Hate]

Yeah Kayo Dot has had a few MASSIVE threads here, including a few posts by band members which always rules beyond belief. Seriously, I get excited when members of a band being discussed here post or lurk the forum.

How about Disillusion? I heard bits and pieces of their latest album and it sounded really good. They should be discussed.
