Could we have this thread stickied? I had the hardest time finding it (I thought it was simply called "Food Thread").
Any wine lovers out there? I've recently discovered my love for red wine, but don't have the slightest idea of which Merlots are good to buy. I like red wines that are thin, not so sweet, and kind of dry. Is this a description of cheap wine? hah What do you folks recommend? I know, shame on me... being a white california limp-wristed democrat and not knowing a good wine from a boxed wine if you blindfolded me.

I was treated to a very special lunch at the Ponderosa buffet. Where else can you get steak tips, pizza, tacos, and boiled cabbage at once? It'll take days to undo this damage.

leftovers from yesterday's lunch at ruby tuesdays - trout almondine... after being refrigerated and microwaved, it was still as bland and dry at it was when i got it yesterday. but i did have a leftover garlic chedder buscuit, which totally made it worth it.
then i got home and had half a cheese steak sub (steakums ftw, don't judge me) n some dirt pudding aka vanilla pudding w/crushed oreos. greatly improved by adding chocolate ice cream
