Ok, I rip all my cd's to mp3, and then have them play on random 24/7

The other day, i walked into my dorm, and there was a solo playing and i thought to myself: "ozzy kicks ass"

I thought i was listening to Moonspells cover of Mr.Crowly by Ozzy. Then I quickly realized that it was therion that I was listening to after the solo was over.

So i went back to the same spot in the song and listened to it again. Then I opened Moonspells Mr.Crowley, and confirmed that there is a STRIKING simalerity in the solo.
Check it out for yourself and let me know your opinions.

Here are the 2 songs and times:

Therion- Theli:(02) To Mega Therion 5:38
Moonspell- Darkness and Hope:(12)Mr. Crowley 3:24

Did therion rip this from ozzy? Perhaps a coincidence?
perhaps it was in the back of therions subconsious mind when they wrote their song?

actually if i'm right, To mega therion is a cover from celtic frost by therion.
Don't remember if the solo is the same on the celtic frost original version.
Anyway you may be right, it's a question of subconsiousness.
The important thing is both songs rules! :)

Actually, it isn't a Celtic Frost cover. CF only had an album called To Mega Therion.

DUDE!!! When I first heard TMT by Therion back in what, 96 or something, I immediately was like wtf is this? How is this not recognized as a blatant steal of Crowley? I was livid that a band did that. Looking back on it now I laugh, but at the time to me, that was serious sacrilege.
