Things to do in Phoenix?

I'll be in Phoenix for a week for my work. I'll probably have only one day or two of work and I've never been there (actually it's only the second time I go to the US). Does anybody have some advices, cool things to see, cool places to visit or so?

I know you guys have the best taste in the world, or you wouldn't be on this board.

Find some shade because it's hot as fuck. It's a dry heat but still hot as shit.

You should check for concerts because bands come through Phoenix all the time.

Went to Sedona (2h by car) to the Red Rock state park, beautiful. Highly recommend it.

If you ever do a road trip in the region, it's on the way from/to the grand canyon. Restaurants are expensive though, and there's a $5/day fee to use the parking everywhere in the park which are conveniently located not far away from the best hiking trails.

there are some cool canyons in the panhandle of Texas. Palo Duro Canyon is pretty nice.
