I don't like newmetal, and a lot of it pisses me off, but I of course prefer it to rap, pop, country, etc. etc. And a few of those bands are halfway decent anyways, and as long as you don't listen to newmetal exclusively just because everyone else does there's nothing wrong with liking some of it.

I have one pretty cool radio show here. It is called "Crotch Rotting Plague" (heh nice name) that plays good stuff, but its on really late at night, and for two hours which is an ok amount of time...

Yeah we in australia have an ok metal show "3 hours of power" on triple j, but thats only on once a week and the new guys a bit of a poof, but he likes opeth lol

Really really good metal wasn't made to be played on the radio and never will be, with the odd rare exception here or there. The fact that they're playing old Slayer and Sepultura tunes exceeds my expectations for anything built for public consumption.
