www.teufelstomb.com is a spoof metal site, ya know a site that rants and raves on all bands. Some bands he just singles out especially if he dislikes the retaliations the bands give him. If anything it is all promotion however you look at it, there are no dedicated teufel followers.
Another site called Global Dominion is the same way. Lord K the guitars of The Project Hate runs it. Good friend of mine, but yeah some of the shit he says is ridiculous and so offensive to some bands at times. His website is at http://www.statikmajik.com/gd

"I recall him saying one of the incantation album's snare drums is as weak as John Macanteee's voice. Just funny stuff, these sites are made for a good laugh whether they make sense or not.

Eric of Teufelstomb is a friend of mine, but has a special hatred for anything that does not sound exactly like Deeds of Flesh (Gradually Melted) days or old Dying Fetus...so Oh well, he is known to bash every band---don't take it personally he just has this akward reputation he has made for himself...These types of websites are created for the sole purpose to piss metalheads off, and get rises out of people...and it seems to work quite well...

It sucks, but negative critisism is something that's always going to come from brutal death metal eletist especially when you play for a slightly melodic band....
I myself have dealt with it. I live in Dallas, TX where many brutal bands, (Devourment, Prophecy, Sect of Exacration, Viral Load, Infernal Dominion, Putrilege, Sintury, and TONS MORE...) arose....
Honestly I don't there are many melodic bands in TX, and not even in America for that fact. For some reason I've kinda gotten use to it. I actually love sick brutal shit,...I love the bands mentioned above,...I've even played in many brutal bands. However, most of them really don't like the shit I'm doing these days.
Negative reviews are a total slap in the face, especially when you put your heart and soul into it. But like Bjorn said, everyone has there own opinions so there's always something negative that comes out sooner or later.

LOL...I remember that 'zine. And you're right...i hate to say it, but some of it was kinda funny. I remember his review on IMMORTAL where he stated that Abbath sounds like "Popeye" on vocals. ROTFLMFAO.....VEHEMENCE said:

Immortal is still bad ass. I saw them live and it was amazing. I would hate to go through life where you are known as a condencending awkward individual. The death metal documentary dvd was put out by the grimore guy, and it was a pretty good dvd, just a bunch of metal heads saying that you cant go into death metal and expect to make tons of money. Then again some bands know what they are doing and actually do make money. They did'nt interview alot of big death metal bands. Anyone see this dvd yet?
