Those bands going direct in Live Situation

Hey people just to spit out a quick info. It's kind of a surprise for me, but maybe It'll seem obvious to some of you guys...

I saw Textures+Arch Enemy a month ago or something.
And we opened for Devildriver with my band last week.

Both DD and Textures were going direct to the PA. No mics.
I am pretty sure I saw the PALMER PDI-03 in DD racks.

Dunno about Textures. I talked with Bart, one of the guitarist, He said that they were getting more low end like this. There should be a lot more of reasons. One I can think about is the easiness and speed of hooking up eveything. No stand. No mic. Every night, you're getting the same sound, or something really similar.

Shit, now I want to buy that Palmer, and my rack tuner has not already arrived....

i know textures used to use behringer speaker simulator DI's on the preamp out of there amps (2 on each amp) i never really liked the sound of it anyway, to fizzy and controlled IMO

Devildriver use Palmers live these days, I know for a fact because they are my friends and I've talked to them about it. How did their guitars sound out front? I was impressed with their live tone last time I saw them.
