Something strange going on with them? We've had recent, tiny threads that have thousands of views. Like the "Yes" thread with 4 replies and over 1000 views and the "It's Here" thread with over 11,000 views!

Web bots are scripts that index sites, and go towards building databases for search engines (Google etc). Trouble is, they often go a bit mad, and so will spider sites continually, and with mulitple bots 
They index at intervals, and I believe Google's has been reindexing lately.
