I've been meaning to check those guys out. I know they've got an album coming out on Willowtip.

Mastery sounds like early Metallica without vocals. It sounds like they wrote regular songs with the intention of recording with a singer, couldn't find a singer, so just recorded the music. To me, that's lame. If you're gonna write instrumental, make it sound like you wrote it without lyrics in mind. Dunno why people are digging on it when there's great instrumental music all over the place.
