LEND ME YOUR EARS!!!

I only spent like 20 minutes mastering this. All digital, using waves plug-ins and ozone 4. There's certainly a few things I'd change in the mix, but I didn't mix it, so this is all I have to work with.

Check out the before and after and let me know if you guys have any advice. References given were Discharge, Driller Killer, and early Slayer.

Thanks dudes!

I love this kind of stuff. I think it sounds really good, man. The sub-bass region might be a tad much, but I'm listening on ATH-M50's where lows are emphasized.

Other than that, there's no criticism that I can think of. Nice job.

thanks for the input man! Yeah that was the main issue with their mix. I have a hi-pass at 50hz, a 6db cut at 160hz, and I compressed everything below 180hz. And STILL there's too much bass. I didn't go any further because I was scared to remove too much, thinking they really wanted all that bass. But now the guy is telling me he mixed this on headphones...OH BOYYYYYY, lol, and clearly on one's that don't emphasize the bass at all. I don't want to push the hi-pass up any further. so I guess i will just lower the gain even further on the multiband compressor and that should do it.
