Hey, so i dont know if this have been discussed before/asked and explained in an interview so here is something that bugs me :
The one who says the words of the song is supposed to be J.C. ?

No, not at all. It's a direct view, seeing the world as it is today, and remembering how things were very innocent and different when once a child. Those times were forgotten until you have to opportunity to see things as a child sees them. There's no fear, no pain, no worries... just innocence.

Interesting idea though. I hadn't looked at it that way.

Yes i first thought of the obvious, that its lyrics are just direct, but then again i like to use my imagination on interpreting some lyrics ("all the promises and empty words forced me to walk upon the earth alone in the shadow of man" - " i once had a vision the fall of man before its time", "and i grieve the shame of mankind") and maybe i thought that the idea of J.C. lamenting about what world has become, was cool.

There's actually a bit more to this song then anyone knows, even my wife. It is very direct, but some of the lines like you quoted, also the line "The beauty of two graced the sky" has something quite deep and personal involved, so you are correct im reading deeply into it. On the surface, it's clear. The undertone is something very personal, and i'd be locked up in a rubber room if I told you. LOL
