Thy Majestie thrilled me from the first listen. In a time where it appears that few take risks, Thy Majestie have succeeded in mixing it up with power metal, prog metal & hard rock. Thy Majestie incorporate "chants" & a "world music" spin in their music. With well written lyrics, powerful layered choruses, symphonic guitar solos & drum pyrotechnics. Everything about this band is impressive. The band tackles a cover of Stryper’s "In God We Trust." Being a former Stryper from back in the day, Thy Majestie buried Stryper’s version & make this song their own. The only complaint about this disc is, that it is a mini disc or E.P. It’s compiled from bonus tracks of unreleased material from the band’s previous records(Hastings 1066 & The Lasting Power). Overall an eclectic disc that had me wanting more. It ended so soon.
