I've been out of the loop with this band. I heard Edlund is back to growling on this one. Has anyone heard it? Bands like Amorphis and Moonspell have all sort of revisited their past on recent albums, so I thought I could use some advice on the new Tiamat here.

What does it sound like? To which of their albums would you comare it the most?

Cheers!

It's sort of different in a lot of new ways, there are a few growls but it's mostly clean. I've only been through it a couple of times. I think the production has taken a step back, and its holding me back from really loving this album. It's defiantly worth a listen.

this album is utter junk unfortunately. i cringed so much i couldn't sit through half of some of the songs. i even liked 4-5 songs from prey. it looks like johan edlund needs to take whatever he was taking during wildhoney and a deeper kind of slumber sessions if he wants to make good music.

Amanethes is good.It is not a Wildhoney or A Deeper Kind Of Slumber,it has a weird unity but it is good to listen. One of the strongest Gothic Metal albums of this year I think.I am also glad that Edlund sung some brutal-like vocals in a few tracks.Raining Dead Angels is fucking awesome.

Wildhoney is a decent record. Never understood all the praise it's recieved. I know some who think it's one of the best albums ever. From what i did hear of this new one, well, Derbeder says it best.
