I own a Flextone III and I was wondering if anyone knew good settings for really nice tone, I have played around with it a lot but would enjoy a second opinion. Thanks.

Haven't used one, but I recommend the Criminal model if it has it (my favorite on Pod XT.) Try putting a tube screamer pedal in front, and use EMG pickups.

The Criminal amp model, iirc the Flextone III doesn't have it. Try the rectifier, with a TS in front of the amp as Kazrog suggested.

The Criminal amp model is modeled after Peavey 5150, and I just checked on the Line 6 site, and it's not on the Flextone III. I'd suggest using the Treadplate model with a tube screamer pedal in front, and EMG pickups of course.

Wait the FT III on the Line 6 site has a Treadplate amp instead of the amp on my FT III, which is a Recto Dual.

Hmmm...never heard of that before...I thought Line 6 had to use different names to avoid legal action.

Yeah, I think I'd need a Peavey 5150 and a Marshall cab with V-30's for professional recordings etc. But I did manage to get quite a nice sound of my FT3 just before, using the Recto Dual amp with the Tweeb B-Man cab. Sounded kinda like In Flames - Clayman.
