Tips to getting an old mic'ed guitar tone?

So basically I really liked the tone I got on the last recording I did but we played a few shows since. I'm trying to dial in something close to the old tone but was wondering if there were any tips to getting it. I have the same settings and about the same position of the cab and mic.

Not looking for exact because that's pretty much impossible but getting close would be nice.

If you have your settings the same make sure you choose the same speaker and mic. I'd load up the first recording and play the same riff and move the mic around until you're satisfied.

I don't own a Kemper, but if the OP wants the original tone or as close as possible then a Kemper sounds like a good idea.
