Music, music... What kind of films do you prefer? I like the classic romantic films and the shit by Jim Carrey, hehehe. There are some that I like so much:

- American History X.
- Instinct
- Dead Poetry Society (ARGH! THE BEST ONE!)

hmm, I like epics and war movies. Comedy of course!

-Braveheart (fav of all time)
-Gladiator (close second)
-Planes, Train, and Automobiles (classic John Candy)
-Groundhog Day
-Snatch (excellent)

ehmmmmmm from me....
Star Wars trilogy for sure....
From less than a month on The Lord Of The Rings and some others, well
Top Secret
Schindler's List
Army Of Darkness
The Saint....
many to list here!

hm.
everything jim jarmusch has created (down by law, dead man...)
Léon (jean reno and natalie portman. wonderful)
the midsummernight's dream (the one with kevin kline. awful...)
Fight Club (more than a film)
to be continued...

Oh,I replied to such a thread in the Opeth forum yesterday :)

well hehe
like FatherVic I'll say Lord of the rings :D even if it's not out yet

and of course PULP FICTION!
I love it's total mess and chaos...

i'm not an expert, so i admit to mostly like mainstream u.s. movies (you don't even get to see much more than those, unless you are expecially looking for some hidden treasure).
i'll try to play it safe:

bergman / the seventh seal
kennet branagh's hamlet

of all the movies i've seen this season, i particularly liked 'the others'.

rahvin. (keeping a low profile ;) )

Greetings.

As stated before, it's a shame that most movies we get to see are US ones, which are not necessarily the best ones, as you all know...

Anyway...

Dead Poet Society, as stated above... WOW
Akira
Requiem for a Dream and Pi by Darren Aranovsky (sp?)
A Clockwork Orange (altough I saw it only once)
Snatch (a classic -- brilliant)

That should be all for now...

Yeah! The Hate is originally called "La Haine", a french movie with Vincent Cassel (Dobermann) in a great performance! Really a great movie, that I lended (is this a regular verb? I really don't know. My fuckin' bad english...) to FatherVic last week. La Haine have a quite good voices in the spanish version.

@Melancholia: I like so much Pulp Fiction, I've the whole dialogue fixed in my mind!

@Blue Moon: Thank you, I wrote "Dead Poet Society" badly, 'coz this movie is called different here in my country.

@SawMeDrown: Is just my opinion, but I hate The Rock and Con Air movies!!!

i usually like those movies whose endings overturn the whole meaning, while -as for me- action movies could disappear.

c.nolan - "memento"

In no special order- (missing the english titles sometimes)

W. Herzog // Aguirre der Zorn Gottes
F. Truffaut // Les 400 coups
O. Welles // Touch of evil
L. Mc Carey // Duck Soup
D. Jarman // Caravaggio
J. Jarmush // Ghost dog
and much more...

Haven't seen interesting movies lately (it's my job though:( ) but japanese serie "The Ring".....

and oh- Japanese animation, of course.
Some great movies have been released in more than 60 years... my fave are ShinSeiki/ Neon Genesis Evangelion's The end of Evangelion and Megazone 23, pt. I

How about "stoned young Wertheress"?;)

And oh, since you are just a southern thing like me I won't marry you. Don't fake you are blonde tall or whatever, you shocked me to the core and disillusion is killing me.

I've been deceived, won't forget this scar.

Well, mre movies:

- The Big Lewoski
- O Brother!
- Shrek (great animation and graphic design!)

@ atlantis: The sadness seized my heart. But tomorrow could be a great day, I'm sure.
