To smoke or not to smoke.

Ohh, its totally there own dumbass fault for smoking out in plain view like that, I just think its an idiotic waste of police resources. I know its the law, but its obviously an idiotic one. I really dont care if they were sitting in a group railing meth, the government cannot regulate what substances a person chooses to put into there body.

i think if people are allowed to smoke cigarettes in public places, they should be able to smoke weed in public places. theres absolutely no logic for weed being illegal. you know much smoking cigs costs people as far as health care dollars are concerned? i dont think it can even be calculated.

Thank you.

yeah, i think that was a subtle jab at you /obvious

I think people should respect other people's differences and not flaunt shit in their face. Especially when its illegal.
yeah i understand but at the same time i feel like people shouldn't be that offended. there has been so much misinformation spread about weed; people have really strong negative associations based on falsehoods and prejudices

would you be that offended if you saw a guy sitting in a park with a beer and a cig? i know i'm biased but i see that as no more harmful to passersby than smoking a j. granted, i'm not saying you should be able to smoke anywhere, anytime, but if i'm on a hike and i stop by the side of the trail it shouldn't be that big a deal to walk by without freakin out.

yeah, it's retarded how much money cops put into the war on drugs, even though the fact they do so doesn't stop anyone from doing the drugs. Just doesn't help. I remember hearing on the news, some top official in the US drugwar stuff was up here at a conference with our police and was warning us not to imitate the US way of making war on drugs, because it costs so much money and doesn't help at all... but the US can't back out now because they'd look dumb and stuff.

edit: @Cthulu -- Yeah, I agree, I wouldn't be offended. But If I had my 8 year old son with me, I would be. And yes, weed is just as bad for you as cigarettes, but no worse. And yet they are legal and weed is not, because there are large tobacco companies keeping smokes legal, and none for weed.

Some people see raping kids with cattle prods as enjoying themselves

I know what your trying to say but I dont think that millions and millions of people enjoy and/or endorse that practice, nor does it have any beneficial effects (sans maybe the rapist's mental gratification).

Cigarettes are far worse actually.

well, we had this discussion here before with Liz ... but there are parks like this all over ... one being a half a block away from my home.
I saw things mountain biking in there no man should see :Puke:
same here. instead of enforcing the law, the parks people just closed it, effectively ruining one of the best mountain bike parks in middle TN.

cigarettes have the addictive component that makes them worse, yes. But weed has been proven to be just as bad for your lungs, different stuff in it doing the damage, but its still horrible for them, though its not as bad for the rest of you.

This isn't very true.

Yes, smoke can damage your lungs, but not Marijuana itself. There are other ways of ingestion besides smoke inhalation.

any kind of lewd sexual act in a public place simply cannot be tolerated. i remember one time i wanted to ride and fags kept coming up to me pretending to be interested in my bike rack. "oh, whered you get that? i really need one." i was the lone rider in the park, they couldve killed me if they wanted to. pretty scary now that i think about it.

excellent point. btw, is smoking the most effective method to get the drug into the bloodstream? if you were to eat weed brownies or whatever, would it take alot more to get the same high?

i don't wanna see two gays making out, nor do I want to see some dude and his chick making out. Take that shit indoors you fucks.
seconded. although gays are worse. not logical, no, but theres obviously something to the fact that a guy and chick making out is not as annoying as two guys making out. "natural" or not, it's fucking gross.

RiA: I am serious. Keep your damn rump riding indoors and out of fucking public bathrooms and parks, goddamit

Let's face it, there's always been gays, and I know heteros have their own kinks, but gays have this idea that public areas are their own domain! What cheek! Er...

Oh shite you were sincere? Well what the fuck have you seen my good man? I have only come across homosexual openess in west hollywood/santa monica.

When I was 18 I was working for six flags. They closed the entire park down one day to have a queer celebration. I seen some dastardly things. Men jumping up and down on other men, butch dikes rubbing each other underneath their pendleton's, gay gangbangers making out in the funnel cake line. Oh my it was disturbing to say the least. I'm thankful there's a little thing known as the AIDS virus running around. :)

Smoking is the fastest way to deliver the THC to the bloodstream, eating or cooking the marijuana into food is generally the slowest. The high is different for each type of ingestion as well, eating for example can give you a much heavier "body high" than simply smoking (which conversly would be more of an quicker "head high"), sometimes it can be more intense. The method I have been using most recently is called vaporization. A small heating element is used to react with the THC in the cannabis thereby "vaporizing" the THC into your lungs, very little to no burning of the plant material or smoke inhalation occurs. This is also a very unique high, still slightly slower in onset than pure smoking though.
