To the members of N.D another N.D. asks a favour.

i don't know about that one. you guys don't really fit the style. you sound more like metalcore imho. i know around here we have 9 million bands like that here. you should try to play here.

Actually we like playing with bands that don't sound like us. I personally think concerts with bands that all sound the same get really boring. We are playing a show in a about a week with two power/thrash metal bands, and I think it's great. We aren't in the same genre so to speak, but we fit together very well I think.

What N.D need is a good ol bit of shroud of bereavement.

hey bud! good to see ya. how are you and the band? thanks for the props man, i appreciate that. \m/ so when you flying here to play with us?

and to the guy in nerve damage, man i was just saying that it seems like that would be a weird mix.

and honestly, i try to book as many different bands to play with us, and it seems like it's always tech death or metalcore....sorry man, just seems like we have no doom/death mood metal out here. either way around here when you book to oposite genres together there are always problems like fights and such. no offence intended bro! \m/

We don't have too many problems with fights and such at our shows when we've had different kinds of metal bands on the bill together. I've heard that it's a bit different out in the Boston area though, which is a shame. The idea of people fighting simply because they're in two different types of metal scenes is quite frankly fucking ridiculous, and I'll never understand it. When people turn different kinds of music scenes into something akin to street gangs, well they can go fuck right off with that mentality.
Anyhow, being that we're not an easily categorized band, and also that there's not many bands around here who sound like us, we always wind up playing with a varied mix of metal bands....and I prefer it that way. To go out and only cater to a "death/doom" crowd or whatever is much too limiting for my taste. And in fact, alot of times when we've played an all so-called "doom" show, the turnouts are often less than desirable in terms of attendance numbers. With this new album we've seen alot of new faces at shows, people who previously hadn't paid us much attention because they were more into power metal or death metal or whatever. I'm glad that we're reaching different audiences now, because that is a goal of ours. So anyhow, yeah we're open to playing with a thrash band or metalcore-ish type band. Our concern is more about whether these bands will be entertaining live and sound good and have a decent draw. I don't care if you play metalcore or if you play doom, if a band plays shitty, makes people want to leave the club and only draws three attendees, then that's not a major impetus for us to want to play with them eh? lol

In any case, I listened to the Nerve Damage stuff and it's pretty decent. We'll definitely keep it in mind for the future when setting up shows in the area, though we haven't got anything coming up right now that we're planning, other than the shows that are already booked and announced. Keep in touch.

ha ha ha....well, if you count the band members there....well that's 7...shit, way more than enough for a good brawl. lol
yeah, the turn outs are just so unpredictable these days. especially when we play kc's in r.i.

we actually got 100 peeps at the cryptopsy show, there were a total of 350 there so we didn't do bad. like i said though, it's just hard these says. around here, we have to compete with 3 to 4 other shows every night. the good thing about new england is that we do have a big metal scene. the bad thing is it's all hardcore, metalcore and blazing grindcore. i just wish we had more variety here. and to be honest...we have never had a "doom" show here...there simply arent enough bands to have a show like that.
the fighting thing is gay, and i see it all the time. metal people are often just so stupid when it comes to this or that styles. okay i have rambled on for way too much time.
