Yeah, I hear the boxyness. Sounds kinda flubby overall. But it sounds like you're on the right track.

Edit: Less gain/Bass. More Treble/presence
Only Sm57 and V30 was used in this clip.
I think i can get same result with my Diy cab.

Tuo toinen clippi kuulostaa paljon paremmalta kuin ensimmäinen, vähemmän "boximaisuutta", johtuen tietty eri kaapista. Mutta hyvää shaibaa kummassakin tapauksessa

Kikkailin sen omatekeleen kanssa kahdella eri mikillä ja elementillä. Luulen että pääsen aika lähelle engl-kaapin soundia kunhan nauhotan yhtä elementtiä samalla mikillä.

Holy crap, that Blackmore clip sounds fantastic; it really has that "3D" quality, very similar to the tones Jens Bogren gets (which is the highest compliment I can give, believe me!) What mics did you use, 57 and e906 again? A lot of people hate the e609, what do you think of the 906?

Oh yeah, and the Blackmore DESTROYS the sound of the Powerball in that second clip, btw Though maybe that's cuz you only used the 57...

Oh and Powerball is better/smoother when playing with band. Blackmore just kills Powerball in recording situations.

Haha, there have been a few threads debating that dude's info, but if nothing else, it's all a matter of opinion. Another 57 wouldn't hurt, but if your e906 sounds good (and it sounds good on that clip!), then there's not much of a reason to part with it!
