Quick guitar tone test, using my ENGL SE 6L6 with the Torpedo VB-101, which is a hardware loadbox+cab/mic/miking simulator.

Check www.two-notes.com for more info.
I played the same riff many times with a different cab/mic combination each time.

-> cab/speakers/mic i used, close-miked each time :

1) vht 2x12 P50e + Royer R121

2) Engl412 V30 + condenser Blue Dragonfly

3) Marshall 412 V30 + Condenser Neumann U87

4) Engl412 V30 + SM57

5) mesa 412 V30 + Royer R121

6) engl 412 v30 + Condenser Neumann U87

7) marshall 412 V30 + SM57

8) vht 212 P50 + Condenser Neumann U87

9) engl 412 V30 + Dynamic MD421

10) HK 412 GB + condenser Blue Dragonfly

11) HK 412 GB + Condenser Neumann U87

-post fx : low cut @ 80hz or so, exciter (slight boost) around 3Khz

Just 2 rythm guitars tracks, hard-panned each, same guitar but slight EQ changes on the SE between the 2.
