Too Tight??

Indeed i did.
First time i've actually done so.

Spose i may end up just tracking guitar the conventional way, unless i can refine my technique abit more to get it more human like as i think extreme editing in this style works perfectly.

You can record it at more than half speed, then take it to normal speed, this way it won't sound robotic.
Maybe 10 to 20 beat down.

I think i did one at half speed and the other at 90, the original tempo is 130.
Ill give it a shot at 110 and see if it works, thanks!

Im just trying for that generic core super tight sound.

Edit: Oh and dont worry about the drums, ill either track them myself when my friend comes over to help me out or work some magic on EZdrummer.
Do you mean the sound or what they are playing?
Cause the straight blast only goes for that one section(intro) then it goes a beat.

Technology really is starting to take over talent these days...

I'm not having a go at you but why can't people put the time in to practice their instruments rather than relying on technology for this kind of thing.

Wouldn't you rather beable to play that tight than let a computer do it for you??

Don't take this as an old man rant either as I am only 22. It just annoys meand kind of seems like cheating...

Yep, i sped up the d.i then put the sim on it.

2 months of not having a guitar has taken its toll on my picking and the day i recorded that was the first time I've picked up a guitar since I've been home.
I've never ever had a problem with tightness or cleanness in anything I've tracked at home or at a studio I've went to.

The reason i did this was sheer lazyness, and because thats the sound im going for.

No offense taken from anyone!
If i was offended that easily i would have quit music a long time ago as it isn't the best place for someone who cant take criticism.

Cheers,
Ionei.
