I would say Fates Warning could be considered progressive along with Queensryche. I haven't heard either band though

I would say Fates Warning could be considered progressive along with Queensryche. I haven't heard either band though

Most prog metal dorks believe Operation Mindcrime is the best album ever created, I personally thought it was pretty meh.

I try checking out different prog bands, but alot of it is hit or miss so I can't really formulate a list. However, if I did make a list there wouldn't be too many metal bands included. Most likely comprised of Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Camel, King Crimson, Deep Purple, Queen if you want to stretch it a bit, Tool, and then of course some Dream Theater and Opeth.

edit: Forgot about some Emerson Lake & Palmer, Porcupine Tree, possibly an Aryeon album.
