I'm glad to see Gorguts - Nostalgia up here a couple times on these lists. Gorguts was/is incredible, however you want to look at it.

I see most people bashing SOTS in here, but I really like that album. Also, we're listing songs specifically. Don't wanna sound like the master of the obvious, but there are lots of average albums where you do find great songs.

It's nice writing down lists like this (I enjoy it), you express and share your personal favourite stuff. It's not meant to change anyone's opinions on albums or bands

I'm not a kvlt faggot who hates melodeath by any means (in fact I like a lot of it) but SOTS is an exception. At the Gates' early material was really innovative tech death. Then they decided to take out anything that made their music interesting and replace it with happy poppy melodies that would later be copied and watered down even more by melodic metalcore bands. I don't see how you could prefer SOTS to TRITSIO or Gardens of Grief unless you're a preppy teenage girl.

And just making lists gets boring, let's start some arguments!

SOTS sucks but Blinded by Fear is a pretty awesome song. Still doesn't beat most of the tracks on TRITSIO though.
