definitely. 30 minutes from Philly, 2 hours from Baltimore, 2 hours from NYC. if anything big is happening within 100 miles, I can get there with no problem... and everything big DOES wind up happening around here. Quiet suburban area, too. Very cool.

are there any clubs in NJ where band's play regularly now?

the first time I saw Nevermore was at Obsessions in Randolph in 1999 with arch enemy.

it was a monday and there were 20 people there, mostly carcass fans

in NJ, the Sayreville Ballroom... "bigger" tours tend to go to PNC Bank Arts in wherever the fuck that is... or Tweeter Center in Camden. the scene pretty much died in Philly over the last couple years. concerts either hit some random club in NYC or the Sayreville Ballroom... if not, they most likely hit Jaxx in Virginia

I've never been there, either. when it comes to local bands, there's The Saint in Asbury Park, but who the fuck wants to go there? the "local" scene is pretty dead unless you can presell 100+ tickets to get on a show at Sayreville
