Top 3 American cities you'd like to live in

1) LA
2) LA
3) LA

Seattle = Too wet
San Francisco = Too cold
Phoenix = Too hot
Boston = Too cold
Portland = Too...eww
New York = Too much fun & too expensive

Los Angeles has awesome weather, killer nightlife, tons of concerts, beaches, mountains, snowboarding, jet skiing, and metalsteph. What else is there?

Harlem in Manhatten. Runners up? South Central District in LA.
Pretty cool that you mentioned Harlem. It's actually a pretty nice area now.

I wouldn't really see myself wanting to live in any other US city outside of New York. But Boston, Chicago, and Ft. Lauderdale would probably be my next choices.
But for the most part, I'd rather just move back into mid-town Manhattan. Definitely the best area to live in the city. It's worth every penny.

I've always been drawn to Boston and NY. I've spent a fair amount of time in both and felt pretty comfortable. Failing that, I have no idea. I gotta visit sometime soon and refresh my memory.

San Francisco is cool but really expensive
Seattle is cool with more suburban area than SF and seems less slummy (i didnt check out the whole city though)
gonna visit Portland in about 6 weeks, Oregon seems a lot like norcal (chill, hippies, etc) but cheaper and less California weirdness/attitude
i want to check out Vancouver sometime too

Sacramento sucks, dont move there (Davis is the one ray of almost culture in the whole shithole central valley due to the college, but its full of yuppies and hippies and the drama and nonsense that they bring [and scary asian drivers])

fuck the rest of the country, westcoast is where its at!

1) Cookeville, Tennessee

:kickass:

1. fort worth, tx - laid back, big city fun. unlike dallas, where you must be HIP.

2. cookeville, tn - located between nashville and knoxville. not that i like either of those places. but it all just comes together in cookeville. it's the most pleasant town derick and i have ever visited. and people actually are not stupid there, despite it being tennessee and all.

3. cedar hill, tx - located south of dallas, the highest altitude city in the entire dfw area. quite spectacular looking out over the sprawling metroplex at night. "ooohh what a sprinklkin' of lights!" as the irish say when flying into dfw airport.

I live in Boston now...and it kicks ass...cept for all the obese people...I will never eat at IHOP ever again...because everytime I go there, theres this big fat mother fucker sitting down in the table across from me to a 10 stack of pancakes with whipped cream, chocolate, and every goddamn thing you could imagine...then they proceed to attempt to consume the entire plate as fast as they can...I instantly loose my appetite.

Once Chromatose and I went to an Ihop in Gaithersburg, MD...and along came in a very irritable obese woman. Who angrily requested a table because "I can't fit in a booth." So she got her table and then just sat there spaced out, heaving every breath. As you're reading this I'm sure you're thinking "how sad" which it was in a way. But she was such a bitch, twas quite amusing.

Maryland/Virginia has some of the fattest people I've ever seen :zombie:

hahahahahahahahaha you should have asked them to bungle her order so she flipped out some more!

I was in DC waiting to go into a restaurant and this huge fat guy with a southern accent began complaining about the chairs saying they were too small, the mashed potatoes didn't have enough butter, the steak was dry, the list went on...lol He was pissed and it was amusing. He then called the manager out and got a free dinner for all the problems...they probably just didn't want him to get too worked up and pop a blood vessel or have a stroke in their facility haha.

I was in Amsterdam hanging with my dutch friend. And we drove to this village nearby on the Afsjultzdjik or whatever and went into the pub. As we walked along the docks to get inside, there was this morbidly obese lady who does that "waddle" type walk that fat people do because of the shift of weight as they move...well he burst out laughing thinking it was the funniest thing since he doesnt see it a whole lot...considering most dutch people take care of themselves. I think the lady was American though.

yep, that's DC! :lol:

Hmm... I gave this a bit of thought, and have conclusively decided that morbidly/morally wrong obese people who are indifferent towards their disease should be made illegal.

Out of everywhere I've been to, I'd say...

Seattle (no joke, I'm not saying that because "omg omg Nevermore are from there" but this city has the perfect combination of urban life, great natural parks, and amazing cultural spots.
I've been to Seattle 3 times before and I was 100% inmpressed every time I have been there)

Sonoma, CA - seriously.... a place for every wine lover. One day I'd like to retire there... My favorite thing about Sonoma is the fact that
you go to every grocery store and you can buy a basket with cheese and fruitb and wine and just go to the park
sit outside and enjoy. Great little mom&pop stores and awesome botiques. Love it!

Aspen/ SteamBoatt/ Vale, Colorado - How can I refuse a place where skiing is just a daily life.... I had a hard time choosing the third place
for this post, but I decided to go with those locatons simply because I think they are beautiful, and they are all less than an hour from the best ski resorts.
(and I LOVE skiing)
