Top 30 UM poster awesome thread great job NO NOOBS ALLOWED>>> THAT MEANS YOU

dunno yet, any suggestions?

I wanted to do it when you would be there, but theoretically I'll be in school then.

Too bad :( If only you and your dad could go around Sep-Oct-November that could have been perfect.
Definitely go see my home town Tel Aviv, Don't miss the beach, DONT miss the great night life, and also go see Jerusalem. How long will you be staying?

1-2 weeks I think. I'm toying with the idea of also visiting a couple places in the surrounding countries (before israel, I hear that they won't let you into a lot of those countries if you have an Israeli stamp on your passport).

Like which country?
I'd go to Egypt (DEFINITELY) and then you won't have any problem at all.

be prepared to a shitty security at the airport, they might "bug" you a little but they won't stop you from getting in the country...
Israeli security is *insane* ...

I was thinkin maybe a stop in Syria (Can you say awesome early medieval crusader castle!?), and maybe in Jordan (Petra!). Egypt for some reason didn't occur to me. I forgot how close they are.

Yeah Petra is where I'd go... people are super nice, and while you're *there* it would be silly not to see other places.
(Although, Israel can keep you busy for 1-2 weeks easily) Egypt is on the south border, and Jordan (Petra area) is at the north...
I'd do Egypt is I were you... just so you can say you've seen the Pyramids.

...and you won't have any problems with any stamps in your passport... you have nothing to worry about.
They will "bug" you at the airport regardless because that's what they do... "what's the purpose of your visit? " "who packed your bags" yada yada... just answer them and you'll be fine... but don't say I didnt warn you  Israeli security people really portray an insane image to those who are not used to the "investigation"
(much like the immigration cops at airports here... )

My dad said that when he went to Israel on business years ago, he had some young attractive, but really tough, Israeli military chick interrogating him. Admittedly, I may have imagined you when he was telling the story. That kinda made me lol though.

hahaha.... if you only saw me in military... I was a sargent, which means I was the "bad" girl - "GET DOWN AND GIVE ME 30" all that shit...
man I hated that.

and yeah: since your dad was there before, then he knows what to expect :)

Regardless, I hoped to take you on a night in town and to show you the awesome night life Tel Aviv has to offer... BAH ON YOU AND BAH ON APRIL.

Do you know what its like going from Israel to the other countries? because what I heard is that a lot of the neighboring muslim nations may not let you in if you've been to Israel recently.

I can't find them anymore on my computer... I need to bring that photo album from my parents' house...

Max: I do not know regarding the other countries, but both Egypt and Jordan are at peace with Israel which is why I suggested them...(and I come in and out of them as I please....)
Lebanon and Syria might cause you problems, Yes....
