'seriously' the most disturbing scene I watched as a 'kid' *tis a lie i was born old and with a joint in me hand* must have been the opening scene of the in visible man tv series - a close zoom on an eye

as for dark films I think David Lynch and Darren Aronofsky are both mad
however, the black&white Night of the Living Dead is one I never got bored with

the Spawn tv series are awesome and quite brilliantly done too
