Just had Mercyful Fate - Melissa in the car tonight and holy crap I was matching King's pitches, no joke. The lower octave sounds a bit off cause I have a difficult time sounding like him but the higher octaves were pretty spot on.

Agree with The Metal Messiah, I believe most of these are head voices or a combination of head and chest voices, with full non airy singing.
