I'm am quiting my pirating ways of the past, and I'm replacing my pirate plugs with 100% legit ones. Which isn't that hard, since I was mostly using free plugins anyway.

So, I switched my whole mix rig with legal plugs, but I am missing a good and precise 4-6 band EQ. Since I'm a poor bastard, I'd like it to be affordable, but quality is always number 1.

(Please don't give me shit about using some pirated plugins, I'm trying to do right here dammit )

Try ApEQ, you won't regret it. Most flexible EQ ever, great interface and the hi shelv sounds amazing with 4x oversampling!

I made some direct comparisons to Waves RenEQ and UA Cambridge and it smoked them both. They are of course a lot of other great EQs out there, but nothing this flexible and cheap! You have to spend a lot more money to get the same or better quality.

If you've been keeping up with all the Nebula stuff going on around here, don't forget about its EQ capabilities. The Doc Fear EQ really is something sweet. I'd still pick up ApEQ, though.

No, Let It Burn. When I work in Logic, I find myself using them as well. They're pretty damn fine built-in plugs. Better than the stock trash Pro Tools comes with, anyways...
