Tried matching the paramore snare!!! samples inside!

so i love the RIOT snare but dont want to use that on anything.. so i tried to copy it..

tuned my pearl 13x6.5 20 ply birch/maple reference snare really low so it was fat and ringy like the paramore one (they used a pearl vinnie paul 14x8 8 ply maple)

put an sm57 on top and bottom and a nt5 as a room mic

i also recorded my self playing the snare along to the 'thats what you get' mogg file with the original sample removed and quantised it to grid.. but i dont think im legally allowed to show you.. fits super well and like the original!

HvO, took me a while to figure it out haha and im too lazy to explain it. i copied what joey strugis does. search kontakt under his name.

there are some clicky sounds a bit after a couple of the samples because i was recording the sample whilst hitting the air with my other hand.. but i hit something haha im a n00b.

i know it sounds horrible and ringy, but thats the point

nice snare! although i dont think it sounds very close to paramores snare, as its actually a blend of 4 snares,
including a dw, vinnie paul, a pearl snare and i guess a truth snare. (bendeth mentioned somewhere on gearslutz)
but its cool as it is, so thanks for sharing!

cover started off promising till I heard the first snare hit. snare is so buried and sounds overcompressed. It's non existent. definatley not a fan of who ever is doing the clean singing aswell.
