Tried out dual micing for the first time (Bugera 333, HB 2x12" V30, Röde M3, SM57)

I like your second clip better, I think having some fizz is OK if it suits the song which it does in your song.

For my tastes, I would like to hear more lows in the SM57. I assume you are mixing the condensor mike
with equal level as the dynamic mike so I am suggesting a high pass from 50Hz for the SM57 and a high
pass from 100Hz for the M3.

Those pictures look photoshopped, funny how real pictures look like fake ones.
I think it's because of the hard shadow above the mics.
(Looks to me like the mics+micstand are copy pasted in this pics)

I like the second one better as well but I don't really like the mid tones in both of them.
Did u cut out some low mids in the 400-500 range?
If so I'd try to cut out a little bit higher, it should sound a bit darker around 600-700.

Alright, tried out with the last variant available; M3 off axis, SM57 on axis. Didn't like it. I tried with another preamp (Marshall Mode Four crunch channel) and then I kinda dug it. I don't like the poweramp section sound of the MF350 tho, but because the power section is solid state I can just turn off the master section and just go from the FX loop to the clean channel on the 333 and then I liked it more. Not the most metal sound in the world, but works for this "motorcycle rock" kinda nicely. There was a minor ground loop problem, but don't let it distract you too much.

I like the first capture, off axis.
Do what you like and not what others tell you.
