Triggering a sample in Slate Trigger 2 via Midi

Not sure if even possible with just MIDI.
Add an instrument track, choose Rock Standard Kit 1, write the midi part to C0 (just a click) and Trigger away.

Off course it is possible.

Add a stereo audio track.
Put trigger as an insert.

or

Add a stereo fx track with trigger (quicker)

and

Go into trigger settings
Enable midi in, choose the desired note (for example C1 for a kick or D1 for a snare) and desired midi channel

Add a midi track with the corresponding channel and route its output to trigger.

Done.

Thanks so much Burny!

ow, I thought I as late into trigger trend, but I figured it on first run in Reaper and FL. It had problems with midi?

Yeah a bunch of us had problems with it not playing the sample on the actual start of the midi note. A few versions of Trigger had it. From what I gather they've fixed it, though I haven't tried the midi routing since the problem. I don't think I've updated Trigger either. Probably should do that!!

In Logic you enable it as a MIDI-controlled effect from the Instrument section, then enable 'MIDI IN' in the Trigger sections if anybody cares.
