I' ve never heard them, but they are already running the risk of being rubbish by breaking one of the general guidelines of metal:

a) No women in the band.

Not a cast iron law, but more likely to ensure that the band sucketh than not.

I love Tristania... I actually found the added heaviness of Ashes to be a refreshing break from their traditional style, which has remained very similar over the years... World of Glass was a classic, but Ashes is good in its own right as well
