Truss rod

Hey guys, out of curiosity, how often do you tighten/loosen your truss rod?

Whenver i do a full setup on the guitar cause i change string gauges or a refret.

Whenever string tension changes significantly - http://www.pacificsites.net/~dog/StringTensionApplet.html to calculate string tension - or if the guitar feels funny and there's less than a credit-card-thickness of clearance between the string and fret 7 when the string is held down at 1st and 24th frets.

Only when changing string gauge or tuning (tension). If the guitar has a good set up and you are just replacing the strings with the same gauge there is no need. Extreme temperature change can also cause need for truss rod adjustment, but living in California I don't encounter that problem very often.
