trying to make some Gojira cover with my friend

just for fun project, we are big fan of Gojira, we both guitarist, I play the bass and rhythm guitar, he plays the lead guitar, drums are programmed.

still figuring out the guitar tone, please tell me what you guys think on the guitar tone?
it that too muddy?

id work on the guitars, strings seem to touch the neck in some chord positions, makes the guitars seem harsh, while they actually arent. so id say setup your guitar.

i like the toms you used, they are pretty close to what they used.
all in all try a voxengo curve eq of their song wolf , there is a part where you can grab the guitars eq curve.
try applying that and see if it is too middy.
60 % of their sound comes from the heavily scooped 5150s they used.

and you said the strings touch the neck, you meant fret buzzing? I checked both guitars don't have any fret buzzing but maybe from my sloppy playing haha
