Anyone had luck doing this on single-note phrases ? I have a couple of songs that reeeeeaaally sound like there's a chorus plugin on the guitar tracks, due to bad technique of the guitarist over-bending the strings and if possible I'd want to improve this. I know Joey tunes his guitars, but anyone else is doing this making it sound as close to natural as possible?

Cheers

auto-tune works well on single note riffs. never tried Melodyne DNA but recording guitar is enough of a nightmare as it is, don't think I'd wanna throw another stage into the process.

I have the plugin version of Melodyne at home, but we have the "studio" standalone at the studio. With the standalone, I can fly through tuning a bass track in no time. With the plugin...forget it. It was a waste of money for me. The only thing I would use it for now is tuning vocals, but AutoTune Evo is where it's at for that as far as I'm concerned.

Single note solos sometimes.

I melodyne bass all the time. A lot of bass players gorilla grip the strings and bend them all over the place without noticing what they're doing to the tuning.
