U.S. Fall Tour with....

God I hope no one else opens, these 4 cassic thrash bands are good enough.

I kinda have a feeling Testament is going to close regardless Anthrax is more popular and would rather perfer Testament close anyway.

Lot of classic thrash going on. So what's next? Forbidden, Exodus, Sacred Reich and Nuclear Assault doing a tour next..muahah

Might this be a co-headline tour where Anthrax & Testament rotate slots each night?

If youve seen any of these bands before, which years?

Anthrax: 1991 (twice), 1995, 1996, 2001, 2003, 2006 (twice), 2008 (twice), 2010, 2011

Nope, don't see that happening. I think this will be labeled Anthrax and Testament with special guests Overkill and Death Angel.

But I think Anthrax will have the main headlining slot each night.

Though personally I'd rather it be Testament as they have my respect for always remaining thrash.

Some reason I didnt keep track of dates and my ticket stubs are boxed away in closet. Ive got time frames though

Anthrax: 10 Times 1991 Presistence of Time - 2010 - Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax
Testament: 8 Times 1990 Practice Preach - 2009? Formation Of Damnation
Overkill: 3 Times 1991 Horrorscope - 1996 Killing Kind
Death Angel: 1 Time 2001 Thrash Of The Titans

Edit: Im changing Anthrax 10 times if counting Tower Record appearance in Paramus New Jersey. It was during Attack of The Killer B's era, but the same day in NYC Slayer and Megadeth were at Tower Records or something for The Clash of The Titans. Forget why I could not make this show but I did end up in the Attack of The Killer B's VHS/DVD movie

Overkill: opening for Anvil 1983 before 1st ep was out. 10 times plus
Anthrax: first time right were the release shows for Spreading though I started listening to them obsessively when Fist came out. Seen them more than any band. maybe 15 times mostly at L'Amours, the Ritz, the Clash tour. Only tour I missed was Stomp. Last times twice during the we've come for you all tour.

I've never seen Testament and Death Angel.

I'd say Testament consistently have been my favorite Thrash band live, Chuck Billy is for sure the most underrated vocalist in all of Thrash metal.

Anthrax is fun live, but to be honest they have been quite boring playing the same shit over and over again. I can only handle Caught in a Mosh, Got The Time or Antisocial so many times. And "only' ughhhh.

But I am sure they will mix it up on this next 'headlining' tour, at minimum play a bunch of new songs

Nice, so you got to see Dan Spitz in Overkill? Ive always wanted to goto L'Amours. If I could have only gotten a ride to Brooklyn, I would have seen a ton of great shows, especially Carnivore reunion.

I only remember bobby gustafson but my memory is pretty hazy and it wasn't like there was the internet to look up an obscure band. I can tell you when rat skates left Overkill I was bummed. he wasn't as technical as Charlie but he played w. power and heart.

L'Amours literally changed my life. It felt like a true home from the moment I stepped in the door. Seeing Anvil, Overkill, Prong, the whole burgeoning crossover scene: crumsuckers, sod, dri, etc. And later carnivore (who I confess I didn't like at the time) and biohazard. It felt special. There was a strong sense of a rooted metal community in Brooklyn at the time (zig zag records was my home away from home), there were multiple metal bars in manhattan like scrapbar, alcatraz, and king tuts wa wa hut and feeling apart of a new musical movement was just awesome. And folks like Scott Ian, Peter Steele and Bobby Blitz they were always around at shows being friendly to everyone.

i'm pretty fortunate to have seen all those bands, they are all high quality live acts, testament will be a goodtest for anthrax, they have a flawlesslive show, ive seen anthrax 6 times, testament 2,overkill and death angel once, the tour will be in that order, overkill had a better live show than death angel imo, hope this comes to australia!

Overkill really kills live, as you'll notice. Overkill and Anthrax are probably my favorites from this tour. Both are pretty energetic, I love how Blitz appears and disappears from the stage.

Not the best Thrash show ever, though, that will only happen when Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, and Tankard tour the US. Yeah, not happening! :D

I hope this tour has a stop in Las Vegas. Of the four I have only seen Death Angel, and it was one of the best shows I have been to. I believe Overkill cancelled their last show in Vegas so they owe us a good show. Anthrax is the band I am most excited to see perform live.

Blabbermouth is saying "TESTAMENT is planning to hit the road in October/November as part of a five- or six-week tour featuring ANTHRAX, DEATH ANGEL and OVERKILL. "

It sounds like Testament is headlining

I think it will be Anthrax headlining since they are the biggest "name" on the bill. I think the next spot on the bill will depend on where in the country it is, although I think we all can agree that Death Angel are the openers. I figure when they play NYC they'll probably play the Best Buy Theater and after DA it will be Testament and then Overkill and then Anthrax because for Overkill and Anthrax it will be a "homecoming" show. I could see Testament taking the co-headliner spot because they'll be supporting a brand new album (if it's out by then). No matter what, there's nothing bad about this tour.
