For those who missed, that was one of the most amazing comebacks I´ve ever seen.
All the 4 rounds were the same: Anderson Silva manages to get one or two hits on Sonnen´s face, Sonnen takes the fight to the ground and beat the crap of Anderson until the round ends. Sometimes it looked like Anderson wasn´t even trying to fight. The 5th was following the exact same script, but in the end, out of nowhere, Anderson Silva turns and gives a surprise triangle on Sonnen and the fight ends. Unbelievable.
Funny thing is that, despite the massacre Sonnen was applyin on Silva, in the end of the fight it looked like Silva didn´t even got hurt while Sonnen was all covered in bloody.
USA still beat Brazil by 3 x 2. Pitbull was terrible, so as Cachorrão. Cigano is a great fighter but it´s impossible not to root for Roy with that amazing beer belly and mullets.

havent watched it yet but jesus anderson actually got tested by a fighter for once, and with regard to chael being all bloody look at hardy vs gsp hardy loses by decision but gsp's the one whos cut open

I read that silva was fighting with a broken rib or something so maybe that slowed him down some. I'm glad that sonnen backed up his shit talk. it's amazing how even though he talked so much smack that he still comes off so likable. even to his opponents.
Yeah, at the end of the fight Silva said that he wasn´t 100%, he had a rib injury and his medic wouldn´t let him fight. That was weird because Anderson had pressure coming from all sides. I mean, he was injuried, but after all Chael's trash talk he HAD to fight. He was pissed but had to remain silent because after the fight with Maia, everyone, specially Dana White, wanted him to be serious. Yesterday he looked very bland and stoic. He didn´t even celebrate the victory like he should.
And what´s up with Nelson? Dude is a golem. He never goes down no matter how much punishment he takes. He reminded me of Tank Abbot in the early days. It´s pretty exciting because you know that, no matter how bad he is in the fight, if he´s not down he can still end the fight in one move, like a powerful haymaker or managing to take the fight to the ground. Now let´s see how Cigano can deal with Brock Lesnar, who is one scary dude.

I'd like to see silva go up to 205 permanently. I bet machita or shogun would give him a run for his money (even though he's already said he won't fight machita).
I know he crushed Forrest, but I think there's a few guys at 205 that'll dummy him for sure.

Silva wouldnt last at 205. The extra weight would slow down his elusiveness and those 205 guys walk around normally, and would fight at, about 220. He beat Forrest Griffin because ANYONE could beat that fucking scrub. And he beat him at a catchweight of 190 or so Im pretty sure.

There is a rematch for Silva and Sonnen lined up for UFC123 or something already. If Silva dropped a weight class GSP would clean his biscuit!
that's if lesnar beats cain velasquez...i think brock has the advantage there, but definitely is far from a lock to win that one, especially seeing how horrible his striking was against carwin
also, i believe dana white said he would only give silva 2 more fights at 185...it's presumed his next fight will be against vitor belfort, and if he wins that one they want to push him to 205. i think it's becoming apparent to UFC ownership that it's bad for a division to have the same champ forever and ever, and 185 is going to turn into a total mess if nobody can unseat silva.

Yeah Silva wont drop to 170... the dude's like 6'3" and skinny enough as it is... if he dropped he'd have NO power and would get obliterated by GSP, so you can forget that. He can go up... not down.

Dont think that'd work well for him. He's already built like a truck at 170. 185 doesnt seem a good fit for his size and stature at all. I'd advise against a GSP weight gain
