UK television

I don't think anybody said that "all" British comedy is better.

Maybe not on here, but in America there are definitly people that say that. Its kind of like the Anime phenomenon. People just jump on to ANY Anime/British humor because its "Their thing" and others "don't get it" blahbidy blahblah etc etc, and really in Britain some of the stuff they like would be considered crap, same with in Japan, etc etc. Im sure people on here know people like that, and of course it goes WAY beyond Anime/Comedy.

Yeah, you guys probably don't get to see the real dross that we have to sometimes. Like "Two Packets of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Please" and "Game On" and other such horrors.

Oh man, the former of those is AWFUL. I can't believe they showed more than one series, but I seem to remember liking the latter, maybe it was just because I was younger when I watched it. Another show I hated was Coupling, what a load of shite.

Married with Children jumped the shark after a while, otherwise, yeah, good trash tv.

There are some American classics: Cheers back in the day was good, I even liked early seasons of Frasier. Of course, the best of the best is Seinfeld when it comes to non-cable stuff. I hear Arrested Development is good so I should check it out, and I also understand Scrubs is supposed to be pretty witty.

Cable: Curb your Enthusiasm by a mile (I think this has surpassed Seinfeld now), and the Dave Chapelle show is just genius. Funny how that guy checked himself into a loony bin recently....in South Africa!!

Saturday Night Live has always been hit and miss: good sketches, shit sketches....but if it had Chris Farley, it was gold!!! Chris Farley and Adam Sandler, platinum!!! Chris Farley, David Spade, and Adam Sandler? Diamond!!!!!!1

Unless of course we're talking Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo singing "Ebony and Ivory"...classic, classic American TV.

Yeah I watched probably every episode of that while growing up, it was pretty unruly. :p
