Uli Leaves Masterplan?

Well technically the band isn't "dead" until Roland calls it quits.

I meant that it's looking it might end up that way. If it happens I say Roland changes the name to "Grapowplan" and just plays every instrument.

Yeah cause it is his band. Uli was a good drummer but he wont be that hard to replace, I mean he was in Gamma Ray and he got replaced. He was in Helloween and he also got replaced.

Masterplan shall Sail On. :)

Don't believe much in rumours but Masterplan is Grapow AND Uli. Otherwise it'll be Roland solo band and for that I stick with "Kaleidoscope" which is one hell of an album.

BTW, didn't got intersted in Beautiful Sin Uli's other project so...

Nope, I've been checking and the only data I've found is that thing about the interview with Uli, I'll try to look for a transcript of what he actually said or something, but the rest of the information on that site is accurate so I don't have much hope. :(

The band has confirmed this to be true on the forums, this really sucks. :( RIP Masterplan, you released 2 awesome albums and I just hope you can eat least get this 3rd one out somehow....

Well rumours are over, everything is confirmed

October-7th-2006 New Masterplan Rising
The Masterplan proudly announces its new line up:
Mike DiMeo - Roland Grapow - Mike Terrana - Jan S. Eckert - Axel Mackenrott

Love DiMeo vocals but then what happens with Riot? :erk: I guess Uli wants to get with Beautiful Sin, good luck they didn't impressed me.

Uli is back with Mekong Delta now too. He's a monster drummer but I'm way more concerned about how the songwriting is going to change as a result of all this, so glad I caught them live before all this s**t happened.

from Blabbermouth:

German melodic metal band MASTERPLAN has announced the addition of singer Mike DiMeo (RIOT, THE LIZARDS) and drummer Mike Terrana (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, AXEL RUDI PELL, METALIUM, RAGE) to the group's ranks.

No worries. Terrana slays. Haven't heard Mike DiMeo sing before, though.

Listening to his work on 'The Lizards' Definitely an interesting group (prog fans should check out). His voice.. is kind of bluesy on this album. He sounds good though.
