You probably did hear him play it live before released on an album. That was a common practice back in the day. Nugent was notorious for it.
You may have, I saw PT open for AC/DC in '79, and that tune was introduced
to us in Chicago as a debut, and "...a song about being really fucked up" PT Rocks!
